Be aware and safe this holiday season!

Holiday Warning
Look there are things that are stressful during this holiday season.  For me, it's money!  I mean, money is always stressing me out!

Here is the thing, it's the holiday's and we can't let these type of things stress us out.  Not the little things at least...that will all be okay!

Here is why I'm warning you all!

Last night, I went and bought a few more things for the wedding!  I bought a few more gifts, and I bought dinner for Curt and myself.  When I was buying dinner one of my cards got declined (I knew there had to be money on it...I had just gotten paid.  Oh well, I will check when I get home.)  So I used my other card.  Then I started to panic about how much I have been spending!  It's been so much!  With the wedding and then Christmas!  I mean, I feel a little out of control!

So, I pull up to a stop sign...getting more and more annoyed with my spending.  The guy in front of me goes.  Then I pull forward.  Look at the car across from me and think "Hey buddy, you were here first, but if you aren't going to go...then I will"

And because I was distracted by this little thing called money...which in the big scheme of things is so not important.  I went ahead and went.  What I didn't see was the guy coming from my left.  Being distracted I had forgotten that it wasn't a 4-way stop.  Only a 2 way stop.  And the guy across from me was waiting for the car to pass before going.

I am lucky!  The other driver was paying attention!  I'm lucky that they weren't on their phone or worried about money.  I would be worried about a lot more today if they had been distracted like me!  They honked, slowed down, I sped up!  And I was so mad at myself!  I wanted to pull over and cry!  I wanted to follow the other person and say "I'm sorry" and "thank you for not being distracted"!  But I didn't!  I drove home angry with myself (yet paying attention) and saying things like...it's not that important!  Money is not that important!  Just be a little more conservative...or don't go out to eat so much!

So, this holiday season...relax!  Enjoy the time you have with your family and friends!  Don't let the little things get you down!  This is the time for hope, love, and excitement over the future!  Pay attention when you need too!  Don't be stupid!  And spread love everywhere you go!  You never know what the other person has been through!

Thank you to the other person who was driving and to my guardian angel who was there protecting me!

4 months

Holy Cow!  It's 4 months until the wedding!  I can't believe how fast things are moving!  I also can't believe how calm I feel!  I know that over the past few weeks/months there have been a few stressful moments!  But over all things are coming together nicely!

1.  Invitations- they are in being shipped to me as we speak!  They will arrive and be sent out at the three month mark!
2.  Centerpieces- I have to spray paint some vases, but this Winter Break we will put those together and then those will be done until the wedding day!
3.  Bridesmaids dresses are chosen!
4.  The flowers are in the process of being designed and put together!

Winter break things to do:
Put Centerpieces together
Put Invitations together
Make Flowers for Bouquets
Put Flower Bouquets together
Make contact for alterations...and maybe even have a dress fitting!

There are probably more things to think about...but that is not possible at the moment!  Okay bye!

The last 2 weeks into centerpieces

Wow, it has been a few crazy weeks since I have posted anything!  Yikes!  Let me see here:
November 6th- Diagnosed with walking pneumonia
November 7th- stayed home from school and slept literally all day!  I mean like 20 hours!
November 8th- Jamberry Event 7-3pm and Jamberry party at 6pm
November 9th- Stayed home and slept
November 10th- stayed home and slept
November 11th- Tech week for Gardner
November 12th- Opening night for Gardner
November 13th- Show night for Garnder
November 14th- Date night
November 15th- Show night for Gardner
November 16th- Show day for Gardner
All of that was done on top of working my normal 40 hours!

I'm telling you all of this because I was grounded 2 weeks ago!  Who grounded me?  My mom and fiance!  Okay, and I will put myself in there as well!  It was the first time since August that I did not have anything planned in the evening!  So, I was then told/and I agreed that I would not do anything but go to work and then come home and rest.  No cleaning, no working out, no doing anything except resting and going to be super early!

So, I did that for a week and it was pretty fun actually!  Overall, I feel much better, but am still super tired still!  So, I'm trying to go to bed as early as I can and not do too much when I go home!  A crazy time in my life is about to start and I don't want to get sick again!

Then it was the week of Thanksgiving!  I love this time of year!  I went down to visit with Curt's parents!  We went out and looked for wedding rings and Christmas gifts!  Then I had Thanksgiving with my family and once again went out shopping!  I bought- a fitbit, a camera, a dress form, and some fabric!

Here is the big news:  We bought everything we will need for the centerpieces at the reception!!!

So, I took my glittered tree over to my folks house.  I wanted a second opinion on them.  I just wasn't feeling it.  And my family agreed with me.  So, I went looking for some stuff Friday night.  I bought some glittered stuff from JoAnn's, took it home, and it was a huge hit!  Saturday morning my parents met me at JoAnn's around 7:45am!  We went into the isle of Christmas glitter decorations and went to town!  We figured out what we wanted for the lantern vase- now we need 13 of each orange, purple, and silver!  Done!  Now let's move on to the brass centerpiece.  I went to get some fabric cut and when I was back my folks had figured out what each centerpiece will look like!  Now we need 13 of these silver and 13 of these silver...13 orange and 13 purple!- We were short a few silver and 2 twirly orange things!  Then it was onto the tall centerpieces!  We need 8 purple, 5 Orange, and 8 silver!  There is no more orange at this store.  On to silver- there were 8!  Yahoo, we wiped them out of silver!  Now it's onto Purple...they have 7?  Are you kidding me?  We are short one purple?  Then I go down onto my hands and knees and found 2 more purple things under the set up!  Yahoo!  We now have 10 purple...and yes, I took all 10!

Later that afternoon, we went to another JoAnn's and found most of the stuff we needed!  We are still missing 2 twirlies...but we are pretty sure we can figure out something else!  We also started looking for the tall vases!  We found 5 at one store and then 3 at another store!  Everything was brought down to my folks basement and a table was set up!  Once Megan is here (21 short days) we will start putting them together!  We also went to IKEA and bought 35 picture frames that will be used for table numbers!

My Goals for Winter Break
1.  Put 35 centerpieces together
2.  Put Invitations together
3.  Put table numbers together
4.  Put Bridal bouquets together

Can you imagine getting all of that done?  I would feel so ahead of the game if all of that get done!  I am hopeful and just excited to get the opportunity to hang out with my mom, sisters, and anyone else who will be joining us for the centerpiece celebration!

Okay, I'm out for now!  Have a great rest of your day!
